KUALA LUMPUR: Gabungan AQRS Bhd has received a notice in writing from Messrs. BDO PLT (BDO) on their resignation as auditors of the company.

The construction and property development company, in a Bursa filing, said pursuant to Section 281(2) of the Companies Act 2016, BDO's term of office will end after 21 days from July 21.

“The company is of the view that a change of auditors who has served for more than 12 years will be as a matter of good corporate governance and the resignation of BDO is on a voluntary basis,” it said.

“Save for the above, the board wishes to inform that the company is not aware of any other matters that need to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of Gabungan AQRS,” it added.
